This is the User Interface Specification document for a microsite that I created in 2012, as a fun way to introduce UX to my colleagues. We collaborated on ideas for content of the site. Each team member contributed his or her own photo and “fun fact”. The remaining content was written by Steve Hodgens. I contributed to the coding of the site.
The microsite was debuted at a weekly meeting attended by all of the Sales staff and management. It was presented as a tool for the Sales staff and as a proof of concept they could show to advertisers. This UIS document was created for the President and Vice Presidents as an introduction to UX processes. Although this microsite ended up being a one-time project, it was the catallyst for the creation of UX services at SMG. As a result of this project, I was asked to manage the website builds. Through my involvement, the average revenue per website was tripled.
